Material selection
All our bamboo comes from sustainable sources in Vietnam. Vietnam offers perfect weather conditions for growing bamboo, which produces extremely resistant stems and therefore quality cups. Our artisans harvest the best bamboo stems, choosing only bamboo over 4 years old, which offers greater strength.
Cutting
Once harvested, the bamboo stems are cut. They're then sorted by hand by the artisans, according to their height.
Polishing & cleaning
After cutting, the bamboo cups are hand-polished to remove any living organism.
Shaping & grinding
To shape the Badacup bamboo cup, our artisans shape each cup using the grinding technique. Once the desired shape is achieved, the surface of the cup is cleaned.
High-pressure cleaning
The bamboo cup is high-pressure cleaned then dried. The artisans finish this meticulous work with a final polish, to perfectly smooth the cup and achieve an elegant finished product. The natural, shiny finish of our cups will certainly surprise your guests!
Classification
At Badabambou, we care about offering solutions suited to restaurateurs. We therefore offer 4 different sizes to match each type of liquid: 450 ml – pints, smoothies, mojitos; 250 ml – cocktails, water glass; 150 ml – small water glass; 80 ml – shot glass.
Laser engraving
On request, bamboo cups are laser-personalised, adding a personal touch for a unique product while boosting word of mouth! What's more, the bamboo cup is an eco-responsible alternative to the plastic eco-cup. It can be used as a deposit item or sold, generating extra revenue. Laser personalisation guarantees optimal quality, for a finish that's as professional as it is natural, and that stays engraved over time.
Is it dishwasher-safe?
The bamboo cup can be machine-washed, though hand-washing is recommended to maximise the product's lifespan. The bamboo cup dries quickly and needs no special treatment.
Can I put hot liquids in it?
Though lightweight, bamboo is a very robust plant that withstands extreme temperatures: the Badacup can hold any type of liquid. On top of being sturdy, bamboo has isothermal properties: a cocktail served in a bamboo cup stays cool for longer and takes more time before getting 'watered down'.
